10 months after giving birth Allyson Felix Breaks Usain Bolt's Record

Allyson Felix made history on Sunday, 29th September,2019 at the IAAF World Championships in Doha, Qatar by helping Team USA win the gold medal in the mixed-gender 4x400 meter relay and in the process becoming the first athelete in the world to win 12 gold medals at the world championships and breaking Usain Bolt's previously held record of 10 gold medals ! This victory and historical feat is all the more special because just about 10 months ago she had given birth to her daughter Camryn ! Camryn will truly be a proud daugther forever and glow in her mom's victory !

We often hear women taking maternity breaks from anywhere between few months to few years. Some women are able to put their career back on track after the maternity break but many are not able to due to additional family responsibilities after the birth of the child or the social acceptance that its ok to drop out of work or work part-time after having a baby. Every woman's circumstances are different and hence everyone can make a different choice as per their circumstances. However, what Allyson's feat has showcased to the world is that if your will is strong maternity can never stop you from achieveing your dreams! 

Allyson also faced many challenges and hurdles post the birth of her child but she overcame each hurdle with determination and hard work and continued to march towards her dream. She has become an inspirations for millions of new mommies around the world !
