First Indian woman to complete 1200 km Cycling Circuit - Priyadarshani Pawar
India’s daughter Priyadarshani Pawar became the first Indian woman to complete the oldest 1200 km cycling event in France popularly known as Paris-Brest-Paris Circuit. This is a proud moment for the entire nation, especially for the Indian Navy as Priyadarshani parents are officers there.
The Paris-Brest-Paris Circuit started in the year 1891. Its track starts from France and goes up till Brest. This event receives participants from all over the world. This year the event was from 18th – 22nd August. Priyadarshani participated in this event, rode non-stop and finished it in 97 hours. In spite of facing several challenges like the weather and terrain, she came out with flying colours.
Priyadarshani Pawar has set an example to the women not only in India but all over the world. In her first attempt, she achieved this glory and thus, created history.
