It is a very broad field and encompasses a host of specializations such as apparel designing, jewelry designing, graphic designing, home décor etc. Also, this profession allows women to choose her working hours, thus making it extremely flexible. These days, many colleges and intuitions offer courses in fashion and design. Thus, the spontaneous aesthetic sense enriched by a formal qualification is fuelling many women to pursue this career.

Counseling and Social Work: A woman is gifted with an immense capacity for sympathy and sharing. When this attribute is required in her profession, she is bound to work wonders!! There is also a lot of scope for recognition and future growth.
Food and Hospitality: This has also been a preferred career option for women since years, and in today’s date, the opportunities have started expanding exponentially in the hospitality industry. As we know, who can take care of guests better than a woman?? Today, we find many women successfully fulfilling managerial roles in food and hospitality sector, ranging from floor supervisors to top-class executive board members.
Entrepreneurship: Self Employment is fast getting popular with women as it allows greater flexibility. Those women with artistic flair are opening salons and boutiques, thus creating a good income source and emerge as efficient business-women. They have a strong drive for initiative and to showcase their talent in a positive way, without being too pushy. This accounts for their success in entrepreneurship, be it as medical professionals, legal or marketing consultants or a freelancer in any industry including IT and BPO industry.
Thus, for the empowered women of today, the world is an oyster. Conventionally-favoured careers options are ushering them in, as well as unconventional avenues are fast opening up for them to take the plunge. There is no dearth of opportunities if she has the desire and fire in her to excel.
