Girls in school earning pocket money!

Education has evolved in more ways than one, and we have surely come a long way from the times when student-life meant devoting one’s entire time and attention to studies and nothing else. One could plan to take up a job only when he/she was completely done with the chosen field of academics. However, the line between education and work has become blurred now, with many youngsters choosing to spend a fraction of their schedule in doing part-time jobs, while simultaneously managing their studies.
In the present times, students, once having done with their school, are often on the look-out for part-time job opportunities that serve the multiple purposes of enriching their experience, enhancing their curriculum vitae (CV/resume), keeping them engaged in a constructive activity and also allow them to earn their own pocket-money. Mostly, they seek jobs that are somewhere associated with their course of study/discipline, or the career path that they desire to ultimately take up in their lives. Gone are the days when bookish knowledge was considered to be sufficient, according to current trends, students are expected to gain first-hand practical experience and on-field work that will facilitate them in the long run, and they are indeed making the most of the scope available to them. It is worth-mentioning that girls are no way behind when it comes to part-time jobs. They are equally enthusiastic and motivated about this work-meets-study scenario that is ruling the contemporary times, and thus leaving no stones unturned to make every hour of the day count.
Once school-life gets over, girls often choose to take up private tuitions at home, which not only hone their teaching skills but also make them financially enough independent so that they do not have to depend on their parents entirely for their personal expenses. Teaching, as it is, is a favoured profession amongst girls and they usually excel at it, in the process, also bettering themselves in their ideas and concepts, as teaching is believed to expand the understanding of the teacher as well.
They also choose to work in call centres, PR agencies, web designing companies etc. in various posts that will help them in later stage of their lives when they enter the professional arena. The modern-day job market offers huge prospects to students who wish to keep their leisure hours occupied in part-time jobs. Those girls who want to go for mass media can work as interns with newspapers or publishing houses that give them a genuine feel and essence of the industry and letting them decide if they can actually stick to their decision in the long run. What’s better, girls can also opt for work-from-home jobs that spare them the time and energy of travelling and are more student-friendly. Data entry jobs, content writing jobs, etc. are not only feasible but also extremely popular amongst girls who aspire to take charge of their lives, be career-oriented and self-sufficient in every way.
It is a very constructive way to be financially independent and also to build up one’s future on stronger foundations. Girls are not lagging behind in any way, and are more than ready to grab the opportunities that come their way. They are no less focussed and ambitious than boys and thus do everything that it takes to realise their dreams and soar high on their self-grown wings!
