What NEVER to wear
You must have had tons of people advise you what looks good on you and what doesn’t, which colour is the best suited for you and which one looks dull. Every person is different and every one must have a different way of carrying things. However, there are a certain things that will NEVER ever come in fashion, no matter how tall you are or how you look, if you are not Anna Wintour you can’t pull it off.
Here is my list of things that you should always stay away from no matter how much they try to lure you in :
Obviously, I am against animal cruelty but I also don’t endorse fake fur. Why? Because its rubbish. I see so many women wearing fur coats and boots with fur on them, I literally want to go over and beg them to take it off. If you really like fur, go for it in bits like a small fur bag or a little fur on the hood of a coat you are wearing but never a full fur coat.
I have seen so many women who want to colour-match their outfits from head to toe. Red dress-red hair clips-red earrings-red shoes. NOT COOL. I could forgive you if it was an all black outfit but it doesn’t work with any other colour. You are eventually going to realise how stupid you were, look at all your old photographs and cry.
Try to go for contrasting colours instead, if you are outfit is simple go for a bright pair of shoes and accessories. If you don’t want to steal focus from your dress, tone down your accessories
I want to kill the person who came up with turtle necks, there is just nothing more hideous. They are meant to be worn as inners and not as a whole outfit. Only someone like Steve Jobs could pull this off, and that is because everyone as too busy look at the iPhones and nobody cared about what he was wearing. Go for cowl necks instead; they are cute and pretty, and way better than turtle neck.
Unless you are going to a gym or for jogging, sport shoes are never required in your outfit. I have seen so many women wear sport shoes just because they couldn’t decide what footwear to wear. Let me tell you a golden rule – sport shoes don’t go with every outfit, in fact they don’t go with any outfit other than your gym clothes. If you like wearing shoes, go for Converse shoes instead. You can buy them in bright colours in fact I even love the blingy converse.
Clothes with ‘Net’ lining
Some women just don’t see the difference between lace and net. Lace is vintage, lace is pretty, lace is graceful, and net is pathetic. Net can only find place in your sarees and your lehengas but wearing tops and dresses with net sleeves or more is just horrible. Net was never and will never ever be in fashion, so throw out all those clothes that even have a remote bit of net. Go for lace instead, trust me you won’t regret it
