Keeping the balance: Katrina’s diet and how it helps

If you’re in the spotlight, you will be judged. For what you eat, for what you drink, for exactly how many kilos you gain or lose. It’s a constant struggle against the temptation to binge on just about anything. One has to be ever-vigilant about exactly how much weight they’ll put on if they eat something sinful. It’s trying and taxing, and some celebrities go to dangerous lengths to ensure that they do not eat anything which might lead them to gain weight. Katrina Kaif, however, has a simple but effective plan which helps her stay in shape. Not one to starve herself, Kaif has always maintained a healthy and balanced diet which does not involve extreme measures. She is one of the few celebrities who have looked beyond the compulsion of gaining a size-zero body. She has always maintained that she feels comfortable in her body, and that there is only so much strain which the body can take before it retaliates in adverse ways. So her diet plan ensures the fact that she gets all the necessary nutrients without compromising on the necessity to keep fit. Water is something which she drinks very generously. Not only does it keep unwanted hunger pangs away, water flushes out all the toxins from the body, leaving her with a glowing complexion, which is devoid of skin problems. It is one of the oldest rules in the guidebook to looking good all the time, and Katrina takes this golden rule very seriously. She drinks a lot of water at all times, which keeps her going throughout the day. She follows a macrobiotic diet. This is the kind of diet which works best for her, since it involves a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables. Fiber-rich food items top her list, and she consumes a lot of them, while keeping the carbs at bay. Fish is another very nutritious and healthy choice which she inculcates into her daily diet. Grilled fish tastes brilliant and it is one of those rare non-vegetarian dishes which do not induce unnecessary weight gain. While she does keep away from carbohydrates, the Indian climate is not suitable for a no-carbs diet, and Katrina is well aware of it. She does have chapattis with her meal every night. She also realizes the importance of a healthy breakfast, which is why, Katrina incorporates cereals in her morning meal. She also eats oatmeal, which is both filling and nutritious. At the same time, Katrina does indulge herself in the small gastronomic pleasures. Peanut butter is one of those small pleasures which she does not deny herself, but she uses brown bread for her peanut butter sandwiches so as the make up for the unhealthy factor. She also eats after every two hours to make sure that she does not go hungry for long hours. It also ensures the burning up of the fat very quickly, because too much food at one go is actually a very bad idea if one wants to keep fit. It leads to the deposit of fat, which would result in one gaining a substantial amount of weight over a period of time. Katrina Kaif’s diet is exemplary, especially because she follows a very realistic one, which can work on everybody. And her glowing skin and toned body is proof of how well the diet works out for her.
