Peach me up!
As we know, summer is a time for wearing light shades of clothing, preferably whites etc. However, we are also aware of just how difficult it is to maintain whites! One tiny smear of grease when you are travelling via public transport and the look is bound to lose its shine. So what are the other alternatives to whites in summer? Well, if you are wary of wearing white clothing you could always opt for the other shade that’s ruling the ramp this summer – peach!
Barely there orange, peach, pale, baby pinks – these are the fashion favourites when it comes to summer wear. With the summer sun getting more unforgivable by the day, it is impossible to wear any dark shades. So why don’t you pick up some peach prints and see how you fare? Teamed with cool shades of blue, they will make you look fun, casual, and comfortable this summer.
Pick up a sheer peach shirt, wear a white or salmon pink camisole inside and pull on a pair of powder blue capris. Add a pair of nude or beige heels to your outfit, apply a light peach gloss to your lips and head out into the sun. Avoid carrying bright bags etc. with such outfits because they will not only clash, but will hurt the eyes! Peach shades go well with turquoise, powder blue, mint and light pastels.
If you are a fan of colour blocking then you can also try pairing light peach pants with a dark turquoise blue shirt. A pair of black ballet flats will offset the outfit nicely and you can carry a mustard yellow clutch or sling bag to complete the look.
Since it is summer, a girl’s wardrobe cannot be complete without shorts – a pair of peach shorts, teamed with a flowy black, balloon top, and carry an oversized turquoise bag to complete the look.
Maxi dresses and shift dresses in peach is another beautiful way to up your glam quotient this summer – wear a long, flowing maxi dress in peach with thin shoulder straps, cinch your waist in with a slim turquoise belt and wear matte gold earrings or a bracelet to complete the diva look. You can also try wearing peach shrugs or boyfriend jackets over a blue outfit.
Sheer blouses in peach with a sequinned collar look beautiful when paired with ankle length black cigarette pants – this is the perfect summer night-out look. Pair a peach skater skirt with a polka dotted top to look flirty, girly and fun, and accessorise with strappy, studded heels or ballerinas. If you want to look Victorian and dainty then it is a good idea to add a waist band of tiny rosettes in peach to a peach maxi or even a powder blue one. Wear a pale peach bow over a blue jumpsuit – the key is to make the outfit look as feminine, pleasing and cool as ever so as to feel comfortable yet look chic in the summer time!
