A doting daughter and an amazing actress - Hail Priyanka Chopra!

They say, it’s an era of the rat-race. Everyone is striving to make it big and carve their niche in their respective areas of expertise. Amidst fierce competition everywhere, the standard bar or yardstick for excellence has indeed been raised to such a level that we often lose out on the finer things of life in an attempt to accomplish so-called “professional” success. The love of family is such as an irreplaceable treasure that come what may, one must never sacrifice the riches it offers. Bollywood’s very own Priyanka Chopra had learnt this lesson quite early, and it has helped her immensely in shaping up a well-balanced life.
She is known in the tinsel town for the doting daughter and wonderful sister that she is. A complete family person once she is done with her shoots, her parents are caught cheering for her and encouraging her every time she performs at an event or wins some award! To her father, she is the apple of his eye. You cannot miss the sight of the tattoo that made headlines recently on page 3- the words “Daddy’s lil girl” inked on Priyanka’s arm. If that isn’t proof enough, one keeps hearing reports of Miss Piggy Chops throwing surprise birthday parties for her father, taking her family out to her outdoor shoots, getting stuff for them from places she visits while shooting for films, and what not! She swears by her family at all times- be it the at the premieres of her movies, her public shows or whatever, she is always spotted with her family!
She is a shining example of a contemporary youth icon, someone with her career going great guns, who devotes equal time and attention to her family and stays true to those roles of her life as well. Many a times when Priyanka’s father Dr. Ashok Chopra has been approached, he has always been heard saying that his darling daughter never misses an opportunity to be with them even amidst her busy schedule and that she goes out of her way to make them feel special.
Reports have revealed that on occasions when her father had fallen ill, she had left her shoots and all other professional commitments just to be by his side, and resumed work only after he recuperated. The strong compatibility that she shares with her sister Parineeti Chopra is also commendable. Apart from that, the way Miss Chopra has handled the inevitable rumours that come along with stardom, is commendable. Despite several link-ups, she has managed to steer clear of any controversies or marred equations with her co-stars. Rather, she is one of those actresses who is said to have always had maintained a very healthy compatibility with her male co-stars, be it Hrithik Roshan, Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan or her own favourite, Shah Rukh Khan!
It requires sensitivity and sensibility to handle both your personal and professional fronts with delicate care, and not have one at the cost of the other. Relationships, be it with your parents, friends, colleagues or anybody else, are as much precious as “success”, measured strictly in terms of power, fame, glory and money! Success if ephemeral, it is elusive; what stays on is the love and affection one procures from dear ones, long after the spotlight has dimmed out and the glitz fades away.
