Neon Is The New Black

Neon Is The New Black

Black is an all-time favourite of women for it saves them from looking oversized. Time n again it had been lauded because it can flatten the plump and give a curvy yet slim shape. No one could ever go wrong in black. But there seem to be an entrant which is stealing the charm of black.

‘Neon’ is supposedly the new black this season. Neon was popular in the 80’s but then it could not make strong grounds as these colours are not for everyone. Those who cannot fashion it up properly feel they are scary and sometimes tacky. But with time the designers of today are bringing back the lost glory of this unique style. Neon colours are bright gorgeous and sometimes dangerous. Be it acid green, shocking pink, electric blue or shiny orange, choosing neon colours is never a wrong choice if paired up properly. These colours are feminine and can add a shiny look to your appearance.

The neon trends are here to stay long. Though, it is seen that the neon are shades are more popular among the youth. Women are sporting these bright candy colours everyday – at work, informal occasions, when visiting friends or hanging out with them, for a school cocktail party etc. For any other events that demand high fashion statement, neon colours can by all means prevail in your outfit. Even a tinge of neon in your outfit can completely transform the look from ordinary to the trendiest. Not just women, men also love this style. They are adorning the bright colours with a filtered sense of fashion. Neon colours can be worn in any season depending on your personality and style sense and are also pocket-friendly.

Manish Malhotra, the pioneer of modern fashion, gave Bollywood the most needed fashion make-over when he first stepped into the industry. People had seen a number of neon collections, last spring and summer in bright hues of pink, green and yellows. Not just in India, these clothes became the ramp-rulers globally. Manish Malhotra presented traditional Indian wears like sarees, lahengas, kurtis and salwar suits in bright neon colours. They were perfect for the Indian festivity and as wedding-wears. One of the most recognizable ensembles from the neon collection of his 2013 Lakme Fashion Week collection was the neon green, and orange saree graced on the ramp by Bollywood diva, Priyanka Chopra.
