Get your bling on: embellish your phones and tablets

Bling had shot into the scene at around 2007. The idea of bling on cell-phones and other gadgets soon caught up, and companies were maxing special bling editions of their devices for very high prices. And that’s because, Bling is the shortcut to feeling extremely luxurious at all times. There is something about bling which is decadent, fearless, and very, very luxe. Maybe that’s why, styles have come and gone, but the idea of blinging one’s gadgets never gets old.

The Gold Motorola V3i was one of the examples of exactly how far people would go for bling. Even though the phone came out at a point when smartphones were slowly gaining momentum, the diamond-studded V3i still managed to get buyers. The same goes for the Nokia 8800 designed by Stuart Hughes. The phone had about 1,225 diamonds stuck to it, and it was priced at a staggering $160,000. These phones were made to look glamorous, luxurious, and exclusive. The former, with its luxe gold finish, and the latter with the pink glow atop the matt silver looked sharp.

Today, one need not spent a bomb in order to bling one’s gadgets. Sure, the option of Swarovski-crystal blinging is open to all those who would like to opt for it. There are numerous sites which will help bling your phone with the Swarovski crystals, and they will also help you customize and personalize your design. However, doing it yourself is not expensive at all, and it is much more fun. If you’re a girl who wants her bling on all her gadgets, it is better to do I yourself, than to spend a bomb on crystals which will be embellished upon your phone.

With the rapid growth in technology, not only do we keep changing our phones, we have a host of other gadgets which we use. From Laptops to tablets, iPods and iPads, these mobile devices keep growing in number. It is silly to spend a lot of money embellishing them with semi-precious materials. An assortment or rhinestones, a few good ideas, a supply of super-glue as well as a glue-gun is all one really needs in order to embellish one’s gadgets.

Sketch out a few designs, keeping the physical operation of the device in mind. After you’re sure that the embellishments will not impede the working of the device, glue the rhinestones one the device, and hold each one in place for a couple of seconds, to make sure that it sticks properly. It is as simple as that.

Animal prints embellishing designs are something which will not go out of fashion any time soon. A bling zebra print or bling leopard spots will not only look bold and stand out, but will also not be very overdone to the eye. If you want to come up with more creative designs, you can always bling your gadgets by adding personal trinkets of value to you. Small earrings, lockets and other tiny objects can be incorporated into the embellishment materials, in order to make it uniquely yours. So don’t shy away from bling. Its bold, its pretty, and it’s a statement of a woman who wants to stand out from the crowd.
